Foundation and Inheritance
 
In 1957, in the capital of Southern Ceramic Capital – Shiwan town, Foshan, Shiwan Hardware Machinery Repair Factory (the predecessor of HLT) broke out of the cocoon, with a group mainly formed by skilled craftsmen whom named "Old Shiwan-men", began their early arduous business ventures.

In 1965, 15-ton and 30-ton double-disc friction presses were officially designed and produced. From the 1960s to the 1980s, In the process of early product development and design, craftsmen under extremely simple conditions, recorded the product structure stroke by stroke with high professionalism through manual drawings. After arduous entrepreneurial struggle, the technical foundation of "extreme, rigorous, and excellence" was forged, which has been inherited to nowadays and laid the foundation for the company's technological development.
 
To be the First
 
In the 1960s and 1970s, the products developed by Shiwan Ceramic Machinery Factory included: manual friction press, double-cylinder diaphragm pump, mud mill, etc. Early-stage ceramic machinery products gradually started to lead the trend.

In 1997, HLT was the first company in the industry to introduce internationally advanced 3D CAD design software Solidworks and finite element analysis software COSMOS/WORKS;

In 2005, PDM product data platform was introduced to electronize and digitize design drawings;

In 2017, digitized PLM system was introduced to realize management of both entire process and life cycle for product development;

In 2022, Siemens AMESim hydraulic simulation and digital twin system was introduced to realize computer virtual simulation and digital twin visualization research and design for systems of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic;

With adoption of advanced management systems and software tools to build both technology and product platform, relying on the deep technical heritage of ceramic presses, HLT provides solid technical support for the development of extrusion press and achieves the diversified development of products.
 
 
R&D Platform
 
HLT, having a 12,000-square-meter R&D building with a number of domestically and internationally advanced testing and detecting instruments and equipment, equipped itself with product laboratory, hydraulic and control laboratory, process laboratory and detection center. The R&D center adopts SolidWorks full 3D design, SolidWorks Flow Simulation fluid analysis, SolidWorks Simulation structural analysis, Siemens AMESim hydraulic simulation, and digital twin design methods. It has established research and development institutions and innovation platforms such as Guangdong Engineering Technology Research Center, Guangdong Provincial Enterprise Technology Center, Guangdong Industrial Design Center, etc. Through establishment of industry-university research cooperation with well-known domestic universities such as Tsinghua University, South China University of Technology, and Central South University, HLT has achieved fruitful results and contributed to the company's technological innovation, which provides solid backing for the company's technological innovation and development.
